Also known as MHT, Master Hatters hat company was established in 1968 by William C. Cook who began his career producing western hats at Byer-Rolnick Hat Company in Dallas, Texas in 1936, then later relocated to Garland, Texas in 1939. His humble beginnings as a Hand Finisher later earned him the reputation as a Master Hatter creating quality western cowboy hats.
In 1968, William Cook signed on to manufacture for the Resistol® Hat Company. Over time he developed his own line of quality western hats which became known as Master Hatters of Texas (MHT) designed for cowboys and cowgirls throughout the country.
Today, Master Hatters is still making its own fine quality straw, wool, and fur felt hats that surpass the industry standard in excellent western hat making.
